Field Engineer –
Customer Care Department

We are looking for a results-oriented IT Field Services Engineer in the Lake County area.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma is required

Preferred Certifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field is a plus
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with hardware, software, and LANS/WANS
  • Experience with educational entities preferred
  • Experience and ability to plan and control projects
  • Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to understand and clearly relate technical manuals and software specifications
  • Exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills
  • Ability to self-manage in a busy environment

Must have knowledge in:

  • End-user device and hardware troubleshooting methodologies
  • General application software packages
  • Hardware principals of operations
  • Windows, OS X, iOS, Android, and Chrome operating systems
  • LAN and WAN topologies

Duties:

  • Work in a mixed (Windows, OS X, iOS, Android, and Chrome operating systems and Mac) environment
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing a wide variety of end-user devices such as iPads and Chromebooks
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing a wide variety of associated peripherals such as printers, phones, projectors, and speakers
  • Work closely with the client organization

Support Services

Net56 is a Production IT Company: Application Service, Business Development, Cloud Solutions, Network Operations, Operations Management and Security. We are team players within our Company and with our clients.

The Support Services employee will work with a team of Support Services employees to support all of our clients, most of whom are school districts.

 

 Requirements:

  • Troubleshooting experience with Windows
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Google Apps / Gmail
  • Familiarity with several operating systems ( Windows 8.1; 7; Android; Mac OS…) and Peripherals (Tablet; phone)

  • Excellent listening skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish common goals
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt quickly to change
  • Ability to follow documented procedures

 Duties

  • Provide basic resolution of routine systems problems
  • Provide support for IT infrastructure and application services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve computing infrastructure and application services issue via phone or email; on occasion travel to customer site
  • Use the required tools to provide audit trail of all problems and their resolutions (input, monitor, action, close)
