Question: Why did the turkey cross the road???  Answer: To get to the other side. It isn’t always about the chicken.

As we sit at our Thanksgiving table tomorrow, we will have an opportunity to reflect on what we are thankful for. While we take this is one day to be thankful for our food, family and friends, there are others who are not as fortunate. This year we have lost loved ones, family, or jobs. Vacations are cut short because terrorism changes the way we try to visit new places and enjoy other cultures. Or maybe someone you know has incurred unbearable financial debt and can’t afford Christmas presents for their children.

It isn’t always about the chicken. Try to look beyond those things that keep us immobile and unable to see the forest through the trees. Be thankful tomorrow and every day. Sometimes even the simplest things in life are best. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
